Welcome to EquiMassage

My name is Elena Kudina. I am a certified equine sports and rehabilitation massage therapist with over ten years of clinical practice and advanced training in equine biomechanics, anatomy, and rehabilitation. I qualified with Equisage Europe in 2015 and am an FEI Permitted Equine Therapist and a member of the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists.

I have worked with horses across all disciplines and levels, from leisure horses to elite sport, building a reputation for precise assessment, clear clinical reasoning, and measurable outcomes. My approach is evidence-informed and integrated: massage is never applied in isolation, but as part of a wider understanding of movement, load, pain, and compensation.

Massage is not a luxury. In the equine athlete, soft-tissue dysfunction directly affects performance, soundness and behaviour. Horses do not verbalise discomfort or pain; they compensate. Over time, compensation leads to secondary overload, reduced range of motion, loss of suppleness and behavioural change. Early, targeted intervention prevents this cascade.

EquiMassage focuses on:

  • Optimising muscle function and tissue quality

  • Supporting recovery, adaptation, and long-term soundness

  • Identifying contributing factors such as saddle fit, workload, hoof balance, or dental issues

  • Respecting the horse’s physical and mental well-being

A comfortable horse is a willing, expressive and resilient partner. That is not indulgence. That is good horsemanship.

If you still doubt whether massage can help your horse, I will be happy to discuss this with you by phone 07445033347,  or you can email me at KudinaESMT@gmail.com. You can also contact me via  Facebook or Instagram.
